Washington Valley Business Alliance News

We have enjoyed our networking sessions. Thank you for your participation and support. However, after reviewing the attendance and our mission, we feel these networking sessions are no longer aligned with what we set out to accomplish. We still think there are great opportunities to enhance the awareness of businesses and services in Martinsville/Washington Valley Area and would like to work with you on a new plan to accomplish this goal. Our web site will continue to display member information and events. Again, thank you for your participation and we look forward to seeing you at other meetings.

Stay tuned for future announcements!

Washington Valley Library News

The Washington Valley Library is thriving. It is a great one room library, with terrific children’s books, and the newest fiction books. Also, there are the latest magazines, and they circulate! The reading program with the Giving Nest preschool (next door) which began a year ago is working out well. These youngsters come to the library at least once a month and have learned how to select and borrow books. What a great way to develop a love of reading from the start! If you are interested in volunteering at the library (2 hrs/day, one day a month or more), please contact Carole Juth at library@martinsvillecommunitycenter.org.
