MCC Summer Newsletter

Summer has arrived and so has the heat and humidity!  Following a 2-year hiatus due to Covid, the MCC is happy to announce the return of the annual Fall Festival!  Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 17 from 11:00am-3:00pm.  The MCC will be joined by our service partners (Bridgewater Police Department, Martinsville Volunteer Fire Department, Martinsville Volunteer Rescue Squad, the Somerset County Historical Society, the Friends of Bridgewater History and more).  There will be games for children, pumpkin painting, raffles, music, and live performances.  Don’t miss the opportunity to relax and visit with your neighbors and friends.  Local businesses will be sharing information in the vendor tent.  If you are a business and interested in participating or being a sponsor, contact Jane Gandolfe at jgandolfe@yahoo.com or 732-533-3634.  Individuals may also be sponsors!  We are looking forward to this celebration! Hope to see you there!

In other news, the MCC continues to offer Zumba classes and classical Indian dance classes.  The Scouts are on summer break and will return in September.  It is our pleasure to offer the MCC as a meeting place for these groups.

Private rentals are also available.  Check out the MCC calendar to see what is happening.  MCC Calendar of Events – Martinsville Community Center

Don’t forget to visit the Washington Valley Library!  We have the latest best sellers and we’re open Monday-Friday, 2:00-4:00pm, Thursday evening from 7:00-9:00pm, and Saturday mornings from 10am-12noon.  We hope to see you soon.

Stay well!
